The four leaders meeting was merely courtesy they paid each other, mind you. The temple changed every 10 years as the planet Alastere moves.

But something was immediately wrong.

From the Air Tribe, their leader did not show. Instead, the young Cryostoria arrived at the temple.

He carried the Crystal of Air, allowing him access to the inner chambers of the temple, with the other tribal leaders. He claimed the Air Tribe leader was ill, and he was to be the respresentative.

It was unheard of for a leader to miss the alignment change, no matter the circumstance, but there was no reason to dispute his claim. He had the crystal, after all.

As the Grand Temple shifted its alignment, the other tribal leaders were caught off-guard when the Temple switched from Nature to Air.

The cycle had been broken, and the young Cryostoria was eager to offer an explanation.

He spoke of how the elements themselves decided the only path to the Lagre's glory was through him. He insulted the other tribes, calling them weak and unworthy to even stand in the temple.

The leader of the Nature Tribe was outraged. He went to attack the young, arrogant Cryostoria.

What happened next is unclear.

The Fire Tribe leader said a dark energy surrounded Cryostoria, and the next they knew, a great power nearly killed the Nature Tribe's leader.

The two standing tribal leaders grabbed their fallen comrade, and quickly escaped the temple, to the sound of Cryostoria's laughter.

Cryostoria of the Five Winds had found some power, that was for certain. But what he had sold his soul to was unknown, and frightening.

The darkness that now tainted his soul would soon spread out from the Grand Temple, and into the hearts of nearly all in Felishon.
